歌曲背後的故事：

2008年對查普曼先生來說是非常痛苦的一年。他在中國領養的女孩在車禍意外中去世。悲劇後的一年多來內疚、哀傷、無奈、懊悔時常襲擊他的心情，陷他於痛苦中。查普曼是一位基督徒。無數個夜晚，他來到神的前面流淚禱告。無數次心境的黑夜裡，他翻開聖經，從神的話語中尋找幫助、得神安慰。神的話不斷進入他心中。

直到現在茶普曼仍然沒有從這個悲劇中完全走出來。可是，神讓他知道，神瞭解他的悲傷，神曉得他的需要。為什麼他知道神曉得呢？因為他不斷得到神的幫助。神的同在成為了他的力量，神的話語醫治他情感的創傷。慢慢地，茶普曼從人生的低谷中走出來。為了紀念女兒他在中國興建了一所孤兒院，收留孤兒和有病的棄嬰。許多父母親無力養育、治療的嬰兒被帶到這裡，孩子得醫治、得養育。

這個耶誕節茶普曼先生在美國出版了一張光碟，收錄了過去一年來他創作的十二首歌曲，讓聽眾看到過去一年他內心的掙扎，和神給他的安慰、希望、與幫助。光碟的第一首歌曲名“天堂是一張臉”寫的是他對女兒的懷念，和懷念中對神的祈禱。
