有些人評價Jem是Dido第二，兩人的聲音和曲風很是相像。其實並不只是這些，相似之處是有的，但是Jem的歌融合了搖滾、舞曲和電子的元素，相比Dido那種飄渺的感覺更多了幾分動感。歌聲和旋律固然重要，但是Jem的才華遠遠不止這些，Jem的歌與眾不同，她很多的歌中都揭示出了很多社會現實中的種種問題，並且予以幽默的語氣描述。
