在春天中體會愛的點滴 Love Has It All

王菀之出生于小康之家，父母兩人都是業餘歌唱家，一個男高音，一個女高音，曾參演《蝴蝶夫人》等歌劇。擅長彈奏鋼琴的王菀之6歲已考過鋼琴八級。2000年王菀之參加第12屆CASH流行曲創作大賽，憑一首《是一個誤會沒什麼可悲》（國語）奪得冠軍，該作品由王菀之一人作曲、作詞並演繹。其後有唱片公司找她，但她放棄簽約，選擇返回加拿大繼續讀她的經濟學位。但CASH比賽得獎後，她重拾對音樂的興趣，在加拿大學習多種樂器及演唱，以致造成她的一門學科不合格而未能畢業。她考慮到再留加一年完成課程所需的生活費及學費不便宜，不想加重父母的負擔，於是決定回港從事音樂幕後工作。

她的作品有薛凱琪的《小黑與我》、鄭秀文的《戀上你的床》、張學友的《我真的受傷了》等等。2005年她被唱片公司看中，首次發行個人廣東EP《Ivana》，奪得HMV銷量榜連繼3星期的冠軍，隨後發行的專輯《I Love My Name》更是推出短短2日便火速售罄。2006年王菀之發行第3張廣東專輯《詩情·畫意》，其中一曲《畫意》大獲好評。2007年她加盟種子音樂，並于臺灣首次發行個人國語專輯《Ivana王菀之》。王菀之由於在作曲、作詞及唱歌三方面都廣受讚譽，所以有“唱作女王”之稱。
