卡朋特樂隊著名歌曲 Close to you
卡朋特樂隊由著名的歌星卡朋特與她哥哥理查·卡朋特組成，卡倫·卡朋彭特1950年生於美國康耐狄格州，從小在哥哥的影響下學習樂器，成了一名鼓手，大她三歲的哥哥理查是個非常有才華的青年，擔任鋼琴伴奏和製作人，並創作了大量歌曲。後來在著名經紀人德紐文的幫助下，進入了美國流行樂壇。1970年一曲《靠近你》(CloseToYou)榮登排行榜首，這使卡朋特樂隊一炮走紅，70年代中他們不斷有佳作聞世，成為無數美國青年的偶像，尼克森總統稱卡朋特兄妹是最出色的美國青年。
